The key ingredients are those which, through hundreds of years of plant remedies, have proven to be the most effective. It is why we went with the calendula, but also the reason why we chose many of the other plant oils like, frankincense and geranium, which are also very nurturing and very healing.

Buni x
Devised during lockdown.
We wanted a balm that could soothe, moisturise and bring back the skin's integrity for even the most downtrodden, sanitised and washed hands. So we tested Buni Balm out on those on the front line, nurses hands. If the product didn't restore, heal or soothe enough. It wasn't good enough. Finally, we found the perfect formula, one which your hands will be asking for, time and time again. It also does wonders combating the effects of extreme weather.
Join us on this seven-minute guided journey, or meditation, as we go to the source of the ingredients and nearby African communities who help to make Buni Balm come to life.
Shea Butter - UPPER PAGA, GHANA
"It is with a heavier heart that we continue.
For we have much more to see.
Can you hear it? Can you hear the sounds that are approaching us? The happy laughter, the joyful chatter?
It’s getting louder, come, let's see where it’s coming from.
Look, what a sight!
All these women on the floor making the shea butter. They're chatting away. Such a joyful, happy atmosphere. This is how our shea butter is made.''
Frankincense - CAL MADOW - SOMALIA
'‘I am happy to share my medicine to help you through times of unease and disease. However, I have a limited supply and if you take more then I can give there will be no more resin, no more frankincense at all. I am happy to help but only take what I can give.’'
Passion Fruit - OUTSIDE OF KIGALI, RWANDA
''A sweet, spicy scent fills the air.
By pure mechanical force, the oil is being pressed out of the seeds and you can see it starting to drip through now. We stand there mesmerised. Amazed when they tell us that´s it for the day!''

It might melt if left in a sunny spot for an extended period, a hot car or if it is a very, very hot day. All you need to do is pop it in the fridge giving it the occasional stir and it will firm up again.

How long will the tin last me?
A tin on average will give you 233 uses if we say you use 0.3g per use. That, if used 3 times a day, will last 77 days so one jar will last more then two and a half months. - Obviously this depends on how often you use it and how much you use at any one time.
